We are located an hour east of Nashville and only 7 miles off the interstate. In our herd, we place foremost importance on milk production, structural soundness and ability to thrive in a pasture situation. Unfortunately DHIA test has proven cost prohibitive for us, but Darrin has experience as a tester in Oklahoma, and we perform our own tests based on milk weights to monitor the does’ production. We fear that sometimes the show ring emphasis is too much on "Goat" and not enough on "Dairy Goat." Our plan is not to sacrifice the ultimate purpose of these wonderful animals. We breed for animals with strong, straight legs, and exceptional body capacity. This is particularly important as ours is strictly a pasture operation. Unlike most goat operations, we do not dry lot, stall, or confine our animals on concrete. They stay outside all of the time except for the most inclement winter weather. This yields a hardy animal capable of sustaining milk production FEED: Our animals are on a legume rich pasture year round. In the winter we supply orchard grass hay as well as millet haylage. We feed a custom blend feed that is 11-13% protein. We realize this is low protein, but as we are not pushing for milk production, and the protein in our pasture and hay is so high, we feel it is adequate for our situation. High quality free choice mineral is available as is salt. HEALTH INFORMATION: We worm using a rotational worming system. Pregnant does are vaccinated for CD&T, CL and boostered annually. All animals are vaccinated against rabies. Our herd is certified and accredited negative for TB and Brucellosis.   RESERVING KIDS: Please pick 2 alternate kids, just in case your top choice isn't available. DISCOUNTS: Purchases of 4 or more animals receive a discount. PAYMENT: We accept cash, money order, PayPal, and credit cards as payment. The registration papers will be filled out for you, but you may choose your own name.  PICK UP/DELIVERY/SHIPPING: Due to our heavy workload, we like kids picked up as soon as possible. There is a discount for kids picked up @ 1-14 days of age. LINEAR APPRASIAL: We have used LA in 1997, 1998, 1999, 2001, 2004 and 2007.
