Place 1 cup raisins in boiling water for 5 minutes. Drain well. Add them to 7 cups soft bread crumbs. Melt ¾ cup butter. Sauté in butter 3 minutes: 1 cup chopped onion, 1 chopped clove garlic, 1 cup chopped celery. Add these ingredients to the bread crumbs along with:
3 cups diced tart apple
1/4 cup finely chopped parsley
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1/4 teaspoon paprika
